Method on site
Lux level and layout brief
For sports court lighting we agree the playing-level lux target (recreational, club, competitive) and the pole / mounting layout that gives even coverage without glare across the court. For general lighting we agree the room-by-room layout and switching pattern.
Power and switching design
We confirm the circuit count, sub-DB requirement and switching topology — manual, sensor, timer or smart control. For sports court flood lighting we size the cable and protection to the inrush of the luminaires.
Mounting, wiring and aiming
Mounting brackets, poles or wall fixings installed; cabling pulled and terminated; luminaires aimed and locked at the agreed angle. For court lighting we aim during operating hours of the court so the playing surface is judged at use, not at install.
Test, hand over and tune
Insulation, polarity and earth continuity tested. Sensor sensitivity, dimmer levels and scene controls tuned with the end-user. Lighting layout drawing left with the owner.
Materials and devices we use
- LED downlight, panel, track and pendant fittings (Philips, Osram, Megaman and equivalent)
- High-bay and flood-light luminaires for sports courts and warehouses
- PIR sensors, photocells, timer modules and dimmer drivers
- Smart lighting controllers and scene panels where requested
- Outdoor-rated cable, conduit and IP-rated junction boxes for landscape and sports works
Deliverables to the client
